I Need to Taste the Rainbow

So I'm spending the weekend in Charleston, SC and I have to admit...I'm a long way from Chocolate City. Don't get me wrong, Charleston is absolutely beautiful!! The food is amazing, the people are friendly, and the culture and history are rich. It's also home to Firefly Vodka (which I can never get enough of) and even some of my favorite movies were filmed/based here (Dear John and The Notebook). But with all that, where are the people of color. I'm not just talking about African Americans!!! Where are the Asians, Latinos, and any other group of people that aren't Caucasian Persuasion. I love people of all nationalities and I'm sure that stems from being raised in the DMV. I love meeting and working with people of various backgrounds or eating authentic Thai, Jamaican and Ethiopian foods. Now trust...I can adapt to any city. I can make it work to the best of my ability. However, I would prefer to just taste the rainbow but unfortunately Charleston does not sell Skittles.

However, I'm having a great time. I love hanging out on Market Street. I'm enjoying some old friend and meeting some new.
